Hey Jules!
We met several years ago (1999), at the Beacon, in NYC, for an ABB show. Dunno if you remember me, but someone sent me the link to this website, and well dude, looks like you've done well for yourself!
Still have that ABB compilation from the Beacon gigs, which you put together.
All the best, keep on keepin' on, and keep the faith!

Hi Jules. It was a pleasure meeting you here in Belgium, I can't wait to see you guys back in May (I hope the gigs are on...). Maybe you'll find the time to sit down together huh?

Mr. Fothergil, I just wanted you to know it was a pleasure working with you in Europe. You impressed everyone playing those ridiculous chords voicings dominique wrote out for you. I know you were a little off balance at first, but you certainly had it by the second day! I don't know anyone who would've voluntarily put themselves through that harrowing experience! Those guys all teach at conservatories and have degrees in music, and they told me that they dug your attitude! Like you and I, they love the blues, but they play everything from classical music to all the big European pop gigs...You should also pat yourself on the back for reading those charts and memorizing them in 2 days! Not easy by any stretch of the imagination! I know that your growth may "intimidate" some people and make others nervous... Don't worry about them. I don't think it's good common sense to make others feel comfortable by feigning ignorance. F**k that! Shake 'em up!!!
In closing, this is all a long winded way of saying I knew you could do it. Be proud of yourself, that sh*t was hard to play!
Oh, by the way...did I tell you what a beautiful guitar you have? (har, har, har!)
